How to achieve your goals in 2025

This week has been a week of reflections.

Me and my sister were talking about our future, and she asked me of my five year goals.

Now, I have very ambitious goals, and I think that’s when I realized that it’s time to take some action.

How am I ever going to achieve my goals if I don’t take charge of my life?

And if you also have goals that you want to achieve, here is how we will achieve them together.

Step one:

Write down a list of goals you want to achieve in five years. Make sure you are really specific about it.

For example, if you want a dream job, don’t just say, I want my dream job. Instead, be very specific and write down exactly what you want.

Step two:

Think of how you’re going to achieve that goal in the present. This is a little tricky, but we have to start somewhere.

There is a quote that reads, “ How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives.” by Annie Dillard.

And that is so deeply touching because our lives are a series of choices we make everyday, so let’s make everyday count.

And we can do that by creating a routine.

I know that’s exactly what I need, and it might help you too. Because when you have a routine, you have a plan.

Step three:

For your new routine, you’re going to write a to-do list of all the things you want to change in the right now.

What are the things that you think you should, or could be doing to improve your life?

This could be: exercise more often, a skincare routine, cleaning your room, drinking more water, waking up early, going to bed early, limited screen time, journaling...

The list goes on and on.

And for me, that is all of the above.

And I have been here before and tried to fix everything all at once, and it backfired and blew up in my face.

So, this time, we are taking it one step at a time, this way, we can actually live a wellness life.

For this step, we only work on three things at a time. So from the to-do list, pick the three most important ones for you.

For me, I think I’m going to pick... waking up early, drinking water, and cleaning my room/ my living space.

I picked those because I feel like waking up early just gets you ready for the day, and when you think about it there is sooo much time in the day when you don’t wake up at 11 am.

I also picked drinking water because it’s literally been ages since I drank water, and I used to really be on my game, and now I’m jut not anymore, so that needs to change.

And finally I picked to clean my room/ my living space, this is simply because my room is a mess... and today even my little brother told me to clean my room.. I used to tell him to clean his room because it was always a mess.

Wow!

Any who, for this one, I really want to organize my room properly, and then keep it tidy. And I’m also going to incorporate some exercise into this one, because I just recently got some weighted ankle bracelets, and they’re pink of course, so I’m really excited to try those.

I don’t really know much about the next step, because, like I said before, I’m still learning, but the next step is.

Step four:

This is where you need to keep yourself accountable. This is where discipline is made.

You have to be able to tell yourself to get up and do that routine, to follow those steps and to keep going.

Celebrate the little wins, but it’s not the end of the world if you didn’t get it right every time.

This is where you need to be accountable for your actions. Ask for help if you need someone else to keep you accountable, or if not, just have reminders to make sure you achieve your goal.

I think what I’ll do is keep a journal with me, and keep track of my day, making sure that I do what I need to do.

I also thought it might be fun to write about my day, everyday, for the next week, from a starting point, with all my mistakes and my learning curves.

I will start with this first week, and we’ll see how it goes.

My expectations for the next week is that I will finally have a clean room, I will get my sleep schedule under control, give myself time to read in the morning, and I will be super hydrated.

Let me know what are the three things you’re starting with on your to-do list?

I’m super curious to know.

For this weeks gratitude segment I am grateful for:

  1. The autumn vibes.

  2. The final episode of TSITP which comes out this week.

  3. My nails...they look so good.

  4. My safety.

I hope today’s blog has helped.

Have a great week.

Love, Dee.

This is some beautifull writing and I really like the quotes you use. I will be creating a cleaning rota in my flat, set up my budgeting planner and create some healthy meal prep.
