Hello and welcome to day 2 of my new routine.
I hope you had a good day today, and that you weren't too hard on yourself, and just did the best you could.
I've got to say, this new off-my-phone, getting-my-life-together, hydrated, productive girlie life is doing something to me.
I feel like my mindset has changed, and now I'm changed.
I know they say that's how it goes, but it really goes.
I was not expecting it to happen that fast.
I am really happy that I actually decided to do this daily update for the week, because I feel like I wouldn't get anything done if I wasn't keeping myself accountable like this.
Okay, so, last night I set my alarm for 7:30 am, and went to sleep.
I actually had a pretty decent sleep, which a little rare for me because I haven't been sleeping so well.
But anyway, this morning I wake up at 7 sharp.
I guess it was all that hydration I did yesterday, because I really needed the toilet.
So then I just got up and came downstairs.
This is when I decided to write in my journal for a bit. I did some gratitude and some affirmations.
And then I ended up reading for a half an hour or so.
Oh and I was working again today, but not until 11, so I had a bit more time to get ready.
So I decided to have a shower.
Except I also wanted to do my hair, you see, I just discovered that I have wavy hair, but it's a lot creams and gels and scrunching.
So much so, that I started to run out of time. I was going as fast as I could.
And once again I almost missed the bus, fortunately it was running a little behind, so I made it.
My shift was again at a weird time.
I had breakfast at 9, and then got home at 4 and had some food.
But anyway, work was fine, but on the way home I was telling myself I was just going to chill out for the rest of the day.
Just read a book or play Nintendo or something.
So I made food and sat down to eat and went on my phone for a bit.
And when I finished, I got up, grabbed the vacuum cleaner, and went upstairs.
I didn't even give myself the option to not do it.
I finished my food, I didn't keep scrolling like I used to. I just got up, and did what I planned to do.
And I actually really enjoyed it.
It was therapeutic.
I vacuumed my room, and then the hall, and then the stairs.
We have a carpet, and the vacuum doesn't really get rid of all the hairs, so I used a little scrub brush thing, I'm not really sure what it was, bit it worked great.
I was just intensely scrubbing for the rest of the day.
It looks a lot better now, and I feel a lot better.
Oh and I also drank a lot of water, I forgot to mention.
I filled my water bottle and drank it while I was reading and writing on my journal.
And then again when I was cleaning my room.
Anyway that was it today.
I think that overall I was pretty productive.
Specially when I ended up cleaning, even though I really didn't want to.
And now I am super tired and I'm going to sleep.
Goodnight and sweet dreams.
Love, Dee.

There is something really satisfying about cleaning when you actually want to clean. I'm proud of you
